Part Time Maths Tutor: About the role

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, supporting learner progression across functional skills Maths up to Level 2.
• Track learner progression and keep learner records up to date
• Use a range of assessment methods and provide prompt feedback to inspire learners
• Work towards learner retention and qualification achievement rate
• Find innovative and effective ways to prepare learners for examinations
• Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding

Part Time Maths Tutor: About you

• Hold Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2) and relevant subject degree
• Hold Teaching Qualification (advantage if Level 5)
• Proven outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework with ability to make the subject matter and time in classroom interesting and engaging
• Experience in teaching Functional Skills Maths E3-L2, GCSE Mathematics and Core Principles Mathematics (Level 3).
• Assertive and confident in learning environment management
• Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work
• Empathetic and have excellent communication skills

• Salary of £30,000 – £44,000 (pro-rata salary range £18,000 – £27,000)
